Palau for Two — Rock Islands Honeymoon

Palau is where the Pacific shows off — a lagoon of some 300 limestone islets, hidden coves, and water so clear it looks invented. This is a sample journey to show what a honeymoon or couples’ escape here can look like: slow mornings, private boat days, and evenings that need no planning at all. Every trip is built to order around your dates and the pace you want.

A sample itinerary

Day 1 — Arrival in Koror. Fly in via Manila or Guam; your host meets you at the airport for the short transfer to a waterfront resort. Evening free — dinner over the water as the lagoon goes gold.

Day 2 — The Rock Islands by private boat. A full day among the famous limestone islands with no schedule but yours: swim a hidden cove, snorkel a coral garden, and take lunch on a beach that is yours alone for the hour.

Day 3 — The Milky Way & Jellyfish Lake. Morning at the Milky Way lagoon, where couples smear each other with white mineral mud before rinsing off in impossibly blue water. Then over the ridge to Jellyfish Lake, where golden jellyfish drift in numbers that rise and fall with nature’s cycles — sometimes a gentle few, sometimes a shimmering crowd. Either way, floating in that stillness together is unforgettable.

Day 4 — A day for two. Choose together: a kayak through mangrove channels, a couples’ dive on the outer reef (certified divers), or a spa afternoon and absolutely nothing else.

Day 5 — Free morning, sunset cruise. Sleep in. In the late afternoon, a private boat carries you out for sunset among the islands, followed by a farewell dinner on the water.

Day 6 — Departure. Transfer to the airport with a boxed breakfast and a camera full of green islands.

• The calmest seas and best visibility run December through April; other months are quieter and often lovelier for having the lagoon to yourselves.
• Flights reach Koror via Manila or Guam several times a week — dates are built around the flight schedule.
