The place
Truk Blue Lagoon Resort sits on the southwest shore of Weno, facing the sheltered waters of Truk Lagoon — the wreck-diving capital of the Pacific. It has more than fifty rooms along the beach, its own pier, and an on-site dive operation. The resort is home to the lagoon’s first dive shop, founded in 1973 by Kimiuo Aisek, a pioneer of Truk wreck diving and a member of the Scuba Diving Hall of Fame.
Diving
- WWII wreck dives across the lagoon — the ships sunk in Operation Hailstone, from shallow reef dives to deep technical wrecks
- Air, Nitrox, Trimix, and mixed-gas support with a fleet of boats and Chuukese wreck guides
- Courses from open water through technical and rebreather levels
- Snorkeling over the shallow wrecks for non-divers
Booking
Reservations are made by email or phone — the resort confirms rooms and dive space directly. Truk Lagoon is served by United Airlines’ Island Hopper flights from Honolulu and Guam.
