:AT 12:30 p.m., Thursday, the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. provided the following update regarding the emergency islandwide power and water outages:
As of 12 p.m., CUC had restored power to all areas except for Feeder 3 and portions of Feeder 2. Areas affected were Hotel Street, portions of Garapan and south to the intersection of Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road (Atkins Kroll traffic intersection). The following feeders had been restored as of the times indicated:
• Feeder 4- 10:27 a.m.
• Feeder 7- 10:28 a.m.
• Feeder 1- 10:42 a.m.
• Kiya 1- 11:08 a.m.
• Kiya 2- 11:10 a.m.
• Kiya 4- 11:13 a.m.
• Kiya 3- 11:17 a.m.
However, due to the dependency of power supply, water services were affected in the areas of Gualo Rai, Lower MIHA Housing, Upper Navy Hill and Hotel Street, Garapan. Water service for the areas of San Roque and Tanapag is scheduled for interruption at 5 p.m. this evening.Water services are expected to be restored to normal by 6 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, morning to allow the CUC water tanks to refill to a sufficient level.Updates will follow as soon as they are available. CUC appreciates your understanding and patience as it continues to restore services to the remaining areas.
