(Press Release) — The Armed Forces Committee of the Saipan Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the addition of permanent concrete seating benches for the comfort and convenience of the family and friends of our veterans. The event will take place on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, 9:30 a.m. at the Veterans Cemetery in Marpi.
The Armed Forces Committee recently completed a project to produce and install concrete benches at the Veterans Cemetery in the effort to provide seating to accommodate visitors, family, relatives, and friends of the brave men and women interred there. “The AFC recognized the need to provide the community with more seating areas. We hope these newly installed benches will offer comfortable seating for those paying their last respects or wishing to reflect on their loved ones especially during Veterans Day which falls the day after our Ribbon-Cutting”, said AFC Committee Chairman Brian Clayton of Megabyte.
Joining the ceremony are the chamber board of directors, Veterans Affairs Office, Veterans of Foreign Wars Saipan Post 3457, sponsors, and supporters. The Armed Forces Committee also invites all veterans and the community to join the ceremony.
The Armed Forces Committee would like to extend a sincere thank you to our partners: David Bush of Hawaiian Rock for his support and generous donation of the fiber-reinforced concrete and to RNV Construction for their work.
