(Press Release) — The Diocese of Chalan Kanoa will hold a Mass of Remembrance for sisters Faloma and Maleina Luhk. The Mass will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Jude Church, Koblerville.
The Luhk sisters disappeared mysteriously near a bus stop in As Teo on May 25, 2011. All are invited to continue praying for the two girls and for resolution, enlightenment, and ultimately peace, will be achieved through coming together in prayer. The Mass of Remembrance marks the seventh-year anniversary since the Luhk sisters disappeared.
Fr. James Balajadia will preside joined by guest homilist Monsignor James Benavente, FBI chaplain for Guam and Saipan. This Eucharistic Celebration is also a source of healing and unity for those who have suffered a tragedy such as suicide of a loved one or any violence that has brought harm.
All are invited regardless of religious affiliation to gather as a community in worship and to light a candle for Faloma and Malenia. May they never be forgotten.
