IPI secures 1,542 H-2B visas for foreign workers

IMPERIAL Pacific International has signed an agreement with Pacific Rim Land Development which will be its contractor for the completion of the construction of the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino in Garapan.

The agreement was signed by both parties on Jan. 13 and involves the construction of 329 rooms by August of this year.

In a statement on Thursday, IPI also announced that it has secured 1,542 H-2B visas for workers in various constriction-job classifications.

These include 156 painters, 419 carpenters, 83 electrical technicians, 155 welders, 264 plumbers, 28 construction laborer, 413 masons, 12 riveters and 12 crane operators.

“Given the contract execution and approval of 1,542 H-2B visas, Imperial Pacific looks forward to the completion of the Imperial Palace Hotel and the continued growth of the CNMI economy,” IPI said in a statement.
