IPI lauds NMC for launching casino management program

IMPERIAL Pacific International has commended Northern Marianas College for adding casino management to their programs.

IPI said they are pleased that their months of collaboration with NMC has resulted in the recently launched casino-management program.

“We will continue to work and collaborate with NMC, NMTI and LTA and any other training program to train and recruit US Citizens,” IPI said in a statement to Variety.

In an earlier interview, NMC President Carmen Fernandez said this latest addition of casino management in the college’s current list of programs is part of the workforce-strengthening effort to train local workers so they can be part of the casino industry.

IPI also encourages their employees to participate in free in-house training to promote professional development and advancement, especially for U.S.-citizen employees.

“These trainings are offered during working hours and include but are not limited to the Aspiring Leadership Program, Cultural Diversity in the Workplace, Managing Conflict, EEOC Training for Staff and Supervisors, Basic and Advanced Mandarin, Polishing presentation skills and Excel Basic and Advanced,” IPI said.

NMC’s other programs include Basic Law Enforcement, Business Management, Computer Applications, Fire Science Technology, Hospitality, Nursing Assistant training and Small Business Management.
