A new Tropical Cyclone named TWO formed south-east of Guam on 9 February and started moving west as a Tropical Depression.
Over the next 48 hours, it is forecast to keep moving west toward the Philippines strengthening and it may pass close or over Yap Island (Federate States of Micronesia) on 10 February afternoon UTC and north of Palau on 11 February.
Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds may affect several areas of Yap Island and Palau over 10-11 February. As of 9 February at 7.45 UTC, a tropical storm watch remains in effect for Fais, Ulithi, Yap and Ngulu (Yap Island).
