E-land Group donates over $9000 for Koblerville basketball court project – Marianas Variety

E-LAND Group, which operates Kensington Hotel, donated $9,100 for the Koblerville basketball court renovation project, E-Land Group corporate social responsibility manager Jieun Ko said.

Early this month, Ko said E-Land Group executives led by Micronesia Resort Inc. president and chief executive officer Myung Wook “Matthew” Park met with Gov. Ralph Torres at the project site to hand the check.

In May, IT&E and IP&E donated $15,000 for the basketball court project.

Governor Torres, in a statement, thanked the corporate donors “for their continuous generosity in bettering our communities and improving resources for our youth.”

His special policy adviser, Glenna Reyes, said thanks to E-Land, IT&E and IP&E, they can now equip the facility with a fully concrete spectator pavilion.

“This is more desirable as it will last longer,” she said, adding that the project contractor is RPCF Inc.

Work has already started and the rusted chain link fence has been replaced with a new one, she said.

Once the pavilion is completed, the fiber glass boards and rims will be installed, she added. “Thereafter, the court will be available for access and use.”
