THE Department of Public Safety and the Office of the Attorney General will not disclose any new information or findings after a search warrant was executed, Saturday, on a residential Koblerville property in connection with the case of the missing Luhk sisters.
Chief prosecutor Michelle Harris declined to make a statement, saying the investigation and search warrant were under seal.
In a separate statement, DPS public information officer Jackie Shepard said no information will be released “in regard to what they did or did not find.”
“The FBI took point and DPS assisted,” she added. “I don’t have additional details.”
On Sunday evening, a resident in the area told Variety that “most likely, no remains were found on the property.”
Faloma Luhk, then-10 years old, and her sister Maleina, then-9, were last seen on May 25, 2011, waiting for a school bus near a bus stop pavilion in As Teo.
A large-scale search was conducted by DPS and federal authorities, but there is still no information regarding the children’s possible whereabouts.
On Saturday morning, authorities executed a search warrant on a residential property owned by the mother of Joseph Crisostomo who was convicted of murder in 2014.
A jury found Joseph Crisostomo guilty of kidnapping, robbing, raping, and murdering Emie Romero in 2012. He was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole or work release.
The search warrant directed investigators to search “Ana and Calistro’s residential compound/and the ground vicinity behind the residence which is located in the village of Koblerville.”
The residence is described as an unpainted semi-concrete structure along Tinaktak Drive.
“There is now being concealed or buried within the ground, human remains believed to be the missing Luhk sisters: Faloma and Maleina,” the warrant stated.
The search warrant ordered the police to search the premises, person and property for identification purposes and prepare a written inventory of property seized and provide the inventory on or before Aug. 17, 2018.
