INVESTIGATORS have identified the two women who were caught on surveillance camera allegedly stealing over $2,000 worth of merchandise from T-Galleria by Duty Free, said Jackie Rae, spokesperson for the Department of Public Safety.
She said DPS has launched a manhunt for the two suspects, whose identities were withheld by investigators.
As soon as an arrest is made, their identification will be immediately released to the public, said Rae.
On Wednesday last week, DPS created a video to get a lead on the case and ask the community’s help in identifying the two women.
The first incident happened on Nov. 28, 2017, where one of the women was seen furtively grabbing a Louis Vuitton handbag.
The next incident happened on Feb. 16, 2018 with the same woman walking into the store but this time, followed by another woman with two children.
The store video surveillance showed one of the children was used by the women as an accomplice to the theft.
The boy grabbed bags from a display rack, a Burberry and MCM handbag, and headed for the exit door.
Rae said on March 5, 2018, the two women walked into T-Galleria together and later casually walked out of the store with two Prada wallets.
If you have additional information on this theft case or the suspects’ whereabouts, please call the Crimestoppers at 234-7272.
Any calls made to the Crimestoppers hotline are anonymous. Tips leading to an arrest could lead to an award of up to $1,000.
