SUPERIOR Court Judge Joseph N. Camacho said there is probable cause to charge Daniel Ryan Stafford with theft. The defendant is accused of stealing over $30,000 from Club 88, a mini-casino on Saipan.
The judge also imposed a $50,000 cash bail on Stafford who was remanded to the Department of Corrections after the hearing on Monday.
He was represented by his private counsel, David Banes, while Assistant Attorney General Jonathan Wilberscheid appeared for the government.
Stafford surrendered to the DPS-Criminal Investigation Bureau on Jan. 12, 2018 or over a month after the Department of Public Safety put out a wanted notice on Dec. 1, 2017.
Stafford, 40, was the manager of Club 88 located at Ocean View Hotel in Garapan.
