A MAGNITUDE 4.6 earthquake struck Saipan on Wednesday afternoon, but it was mostly unnoticed.
According to the CNMI Emergency Operations Center State Warning Point, the earthquake occurred at around 2:45 p.m. on May 2, 2018.
Nadine Deleon Guerrero, EOC State Warning Point public information officer, said there were no reports of any injuries or damage, and no tsunami watches or advisories were issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
More information will be posted as soon as it is available, Deleon Guerrero added.
At 3:06 p.m. on Wednesday, the EOC issued another bulletin to report that a 4.6 magnitude earthquake occurred 28 miles east-southeast of Pagan.
