(Press Release) — Imperial Pacific International (CNMI), LLC is proud to announce that Mr. Mark A. Brown will return from retirement to rejoin his IPI family during this final phase of completion for the Garapan casino property.
Shortly after the opening of Best Sunshine Live in July of 2015, Mr. Brown shifted his focus from day-to-day operations to fundraising and governmental relations. He worked closely with the Saipan Casino Control Commission and forged deep bonds with the people of CNMI in his capacity as chairman. After guiding IPI through many key phases, late last year Mr. Brown entered retirement to spend more time with his family in the mainland U.S. While enjoying his retirement, Mr. Brown remained a close friend to IPI and to the community of Saipan.
Over the past year the IPI team has positioned itself into the final stretch of completion for the Garapan resort property. With IPI’s commitment to success, early last month IPI and Mr. Brown began to discuss Mr. Brown returning as “Interim Chairman” to lend his experience in guiding IPI through these critical last stages, and help ensure the success of launching full resort operations. In efforts to solidify his potential return, Mr. Brown visited Saipan during the week of Oct. 15 to view the progress first hand and meet with government officials.
Last week Typhoon Yutu made landfall on Saipan and Tinian. Yutu’s massive impact has created a moment where every member of the CNMI community, no matter where they are in the world, must step up to lend a hand to support one another. Mr. Brown feels that spirit as a call to action, and is eager to return to Saipan to lend his support to rebuilding and guiding the IPI project to completion. Mr. Brown’s first working day will be Nov. 1, 2018.
As one of the most prominent and respected leaders in the gaming industry, the IPI board is proud to welcome back a member of its family, and looks forward to Mr. Brown once again serving in a chairman capacity and helping contribute to the Saipan community during this crucial moment.
