CPA board members resign

AS requested by the governor, the seven board members of the Commonwealth Ports Authority have turned in their courtesy resignations, CPA Executive Director Chris Tenorio said on Monday.

The board members are Kimberly King-Hinds, Roman Tudela Sr., former Sen. Pete Reyes, Barrie Toves, Joseph Diaz, former Sen. Thomas Villagomez and former Speaker Jose Lifoifoi who is on leave for medical reason.

Tenorio said no board meeting has been scheduled yet for the month of January. He said he is not required to submit a courtesy resignation because he is not a gubernatorial appointee.

On Dec. 18, 2018, Gov. Ralph DLG Torres issued a memorandum asking all cabinet members, board and commission members to submit their courtesy resignations.

On Monday, Jan. 14, 2019, Torres and Lt. Gov.-elect Arnold I. Palacios will be sworn in.
