The sunny island of Kosrae is comprised of crystal clear waters and unspoiled beaches and is simply a dream come true for most travellers. An islander’s life is simply filled with sunny smiles of people, fishing and play. The rest of it is enjoying and relaxing while taking in the scenic beauty of this island.
Because of the shape of the picturesque mountains covered with thick jungles, the volcanos, the lush river valleys and the amazing view, this island is also called the “Sleeping Lady”. If you are in to a good dive you will be able to see the ruins of the ships from WWII. This island is surrounded by the waters of Micronesia and is sight for sore eyes!
Being a part or even the owner of this beauty would be a rubbing the genie’s bottle for the fourth wish for most people! Well, all your wishes are here to come true!
The owners of the Kosrae Nautilus Resort, Doug and Sally Beitz have decided to go back to their home in Gold Coast, after 22 years since this resort was established. They do things differently by selling raffle tickets for $49 each. For the prize, i.e. “the resort” to be available they need to sell 50,000 tickets, where the owners will receive $2,450,000 for the property and the winner gets this amazing place as their own;
It is an intimate property with only 16 rooms located in the tropical gardens, a dive center, a private beach, and a 32 foot pool.
However, if it is less than 50,000 tickets, the winner will get 50% of the ticket revenue and the balance will be for the owners of the Resort. Either way you have a chance to be a winner since there are ticket packages ranging from $49 to $349 – in case you don’t win this property you have the opportunity of winning beautiful pictures of the ocean and the island by a professional photographer, Matt Shephard.
The winner will be selected on the 26th of July 2016.
The new owner of the propety will not have to take on any burdens of the resort as it has no debt to pay, and 15 rooms are already booked for until August 2017 by the United States Government. The staff will continue to do 95% of the work and if you have the skills to manage hotel operations then this is a great opportunity to do well in your career!
